Any reputable personal trainer will ask a new client to fill out the form, but there’s nothing to stop you from filling it out now and getting a head start. Completing the PAR-Q form will help you understand the risk factors that make it crucial to speak to your doctor before exercising. Now, don’t get scared about checking Yes for any of these questions. First, let’s be honest, you likely already know that you have some kind of health risk–this is why you are making the first steps to get healthier. Second, your doctor will be thrilled that you have come to them for advice and permission to start becoming more physically active.
